(More customer reviews)I have played multiple instruments for the last 20+ years, and I have always found technique books to be boring because the progression of the exercises tend to be very slow. My violin teacher recommended this book and told me that this one was different. Each exercises in this book is challenging (even the first one reveals weakness in technique), and I have seen improvements in my bow handling after three weeks with this book. The exercises get progressively harder, which keeps things interesting, but the progression is not so rapid that it is overwhelming. Although the exercises help build strong bow foundation, THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR A BEGINNER. I do recommend this book to intermediate players, but like with all technique books you have to stick with it to see the real benefits.
HAPPY PLAYING!
