"It's better to stay out of trouble that to get out of trouble"Regarding operative manuals, very few Anglophone textbooks that are currently available can compare with the detailed illustrations and lucid annotation available in the Khonsari book. All the "clockwork movements" of cardiac surgery are included (thoracotomy, cannulation etc.), as well as accurate descriptions of intra-cardiac repairs in acquired and congenital heart disease. This book serves as a solid foundation upon which trainee surgeons can refine techniques and preferences as they mature in the operating room.
